This book goes over the breeds used to create this particular breed. It begins with the reason for the breed and the breeds history then goes into the truth about the German Shepherd dog, the Malamute and the English Mastiff. The book was published before the outcrossing into the Great Pyrenees. It also goes into a bit about the wolves as the extinct Dire Wolf was the look that the Alsatian Shepalute was to take on. This wolf was larger and heavier than the wolves today so the Alsatian Shepalute is to be a wide dog that is very heavy in bone. The head of this breed is suppose to be very massiff. The temperament was the Author and Breeders desire and passion that drove the founder forward through 20 years of selective breeding. the real look has just begun its plight and the founder has just recently brought this breed out into the open because the breed is near completion. The breeds foundations have been set and all prodigy beget the same and are consistent. the founder also believes in outcrossing to keep the breed healthy. it is an interesting look at the three breeds that went into the make up of this new breed and the author is open to all people. The Author L. E. Schwarz is in the process of publishing many more educational eye opening books. |
