I am just learning about this breed since my last dog was an English Mastiff and has passed on. I recently got a puppy which I believe is an ABM. From what I've gathered so far this is a rare breed which was bred for guarding and fighting just as the breeds have been known to do. However, the mixing of the two or more breeds was to make it an overall super dog. LOL. The agility of the PBT and the massive size of the mastiff could scare off any intruders. It was originally 50% Pitt Bull Terrier with 50% Bull dog which was known as the Bandogge. However, now they have bred 50% PBT with 50% any mastiff or mollasser breed and is now known as the American Bandog Mastiff. I'd love to hear more about your Bandog/s and see lots of pictures. Please share with everyone your experience with the Bandog.
